As I am setting up this website of mine, fall is in the air. This is shaping up to be a busy fall. I will be
- teaching a full course, “Environmental Modelling 1”. More on that later, hopefully with some blogging;
- attending two conferences, the “Chapman MADE” conference, where I will be presenting work together with Geoff Bohling, and I will likely also head to San Francisco for AGU;
- get back into learning Spanish. There’s a reason for that, and I will hopefully post more on this also in the fall;
I decided to set this webpage up with the following mindframe:
- Pelican is based on python; really helpful has been this post
- in that regard, the only alternative was Nikola
- for now, I settled with the “SVBHACK” theme
- so far, everything works well; things to do include:
- python syntax highlighting, likely using the render math plugin
- include ipython notebooks, likely via liquid_tags
